Welcome to the kitchen!
- Feel free to stop by and become familiar with the Light of Christ kitchen. It is well supplied with everything you'd need to serve a few or many. The best part is that all cupboards and drawers are labeled to help keep us sane and organized.
- The church provides crackers and snacks, coffee and lemonade, and there are ample supplies of small paper plates, napkins and plastic utensils.
- Perishables are kept in the refrigerators until needed. Feel free to distribute any leftovers to everyone and take home the remaining goodies. A clean, empty fridge is a welcome sight to the next group.
- Coffee preparation is done by others before the service. If you would like to help, just sidle up to a pro and have them explain the "how to."
Cleanup - the obvious...
- Tie on an apron and jump in.
- There are zip lock bags for leftovers to take home and plenty of cling wrap for odd shapes.
- If there are any leftover church snacks and crackers, bag them to keep them fresh and return them to the pantry.
- Wash platters, pitchers, and utensils and put away.
- The two, large trash cans (kitchen and parish hall) go into the dumpster out back.
- Take home the dirty dish towels to wash and return them the following week.
- Every little bit helps.
